UNE SMART Region Incubator – SheStarts – Turning Your Idea into a Reality
May 28 @ 12:00 am
Got a bright idea for a tech business and wondering “does this make me a startup founder? What does that even mean?” Join us for this panel, brought to you in Armidale or Tamworth via Zoom video conference.
Australia’s startup ecosystem is growing rapidly, delivering new and exciting opportunities for female founders to access support, training and investment to launch their business. But what does it really take to get your idea off the ground and turn it into a thriving startup? What does it mean to be a “woman in tech” and how do you launch a tech business as a non-technical founder?
Come along for a special lunchtime panel, delivered via Zoom with the SheStarts team about women in tech and entrepreneurship. Join SheStarts Director Nicola Hazell as she speaks with startup founders who have gone through the process of launching, building and growing a startup, including Dr Claire Jenkins (CEO and co-founder Vetchat), Andrez Coco (CEO and Founder Knowlly) and Colette Grgic (CIO BlueChilli), and find out how being part of accelerator program can help you overcome the barriers that female founders face.
Whether you have an idea for a startup and are looking to get started, or you’re simply interested in innovation, entrepreneurship and technology; this is your chance to get the lowdown on the rollercoaster journey that is launching a startup.
