Huge day today as the Hon. Adam Marshall MP alongside UNE Smart Region Incubator (SRI) Director, Lou Conway and Chair of the SRI Advisory Committee, Matthew Irwin launched the SRI Outreach Program designed to identify and support another 20 startups from across the New England North West region over the next 12 months.

The Launch showcased six current SRI Founders of Startups who pitched their startup to the audience. These founders have joined the SRI to access support, networking and investment to enable them to grow their business.

Also attending was Dr Eileen Doyle who has had an exceptional career commercializing innovation in large companies, SMEs and startups. Dr Doyle is currently a Director of high profile ASX Companies such as Boral and GPT Group. Dr Doyle spoke about how to extend the regional angel investment options to support Startups to grow in regional NSW.

The launch follows the SRI’s successful application for funding under the Local Innovation Program administered by Jobs for NSW to expand SRI support and grow a collaborative startup community across the New England North West.
