SMARTSessions: Introduction to the Carbon Credit Market

Armidale

It is timely to understand how the carbon credit market is developing.  Please join us to hear from three leaders in their field in a panel-type discussion event.

  1. Matthew Warnken is founder and Managing Director of Agriprove, Australia’s first one-stop-shop for soil carbon under the Emissions Reduction Fund. AgriProve is the first company to have taken a farmer on the complete journey from building soil carbon through to carbon credit sales.
  2. Verity Morgan-Schmidt is the Stakeholder Relationship Director for Farmers for Climate Action (FCA). FCA is a movement of farmers, ag leaders & rural Australians working to ensure farmers play a key role in climate action.
  3. Dr Tom Davison is the Coordinator of the Livestock Productivity Partnership based here at UNE which is a collaboration between UNE, CSIOR, DPI, University of Melbourne and the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture and the MLA Donor Company to raise productivity and sustainability in grazing systems.
